We
left the city and twenty years of office work to slow down and raise
our kids in the country. I discovered a love for sheep, Babydolls
especially. When a small flock came available I snatched them up. Now
we are moving along in our desire to improve our flock and introduce
others to this wonderful breed.
Chickens
were the first non-house animals we got here at Galmor, after a long
search I settled on raising Marans a French bird. They are good sized
and take well to being handled by children, as if they had a choice!
They are unique in that their eggs are very dark with thick shells.
They grow at a moderate rate and do make good eating birds.
